Chair: Assoc. Prof. Haipeng Wang, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China
Wang Haipeng, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at the School of Computer Science, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). From 2011 to 2013, he conducted visiting research at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA.
His key academic affiliations include: Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Pervasive Computing, Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Multimedia, Committee Member of the Multimedia Technical Committee of the China Society of Image and Graphics, Member of IEEE and ACM.
His primary research areas include machine learning, human-computer interaction (HCI), and applications in intelligent transportation and healthcare. He has led or participated in over 10 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the 973 Program, the 863 Program, the Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education, and international collaborations.
He has been awarded the Third Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Award and the First Prize of Higher Education Institutions’ Scientific and Technological Progress Award. Additionally, he holds multiple patents and has served as Chair and Program Committee Member for various international conferences, as well as a reviewer for several international journals. To date, he has published over 100 academic papers.
